Resolve to take your lunch to work as often as possible. Be sure to use reusable containers to eliminate waste from takeout or delivery. Invest in a couple sets of cutlery avoiding plastic eating utensils.
02/08/09 – Use Cloth Napkins
Replace paper napkins with cloth napkins. You can toss them right in with the rest of your laundry. Choose bright colors and prints that camouflage stains, the napkins will look nicer and you can use them longer. If you want to further reduce impact, make the napkins yourself out of recycled fabric you have around the house. Be sure to choose natural materials, which will be more absorbent.

Refrain from using chemical based cleaning products in your home. For a list of sites that provide information on green cleaners, Google "green cleaning". 01/18/09 – Remove Your Name from Mailing Lists

Enter old employees' names into the Ecological Mail Coaltion's database. The service is free and solves the problem. Pass this tip onto co-workers.
