Get Ready for Spring!
It's Spring Cleaning Time!
Warmer weather, longer days, chirping birds, blooming flowers...it's spring! If you're like most of us, your skis go up and your gardening gloves come out. It's time to spruce up your yard and house, but before you drag everything to the curb as trash, remember: recycle when possible , donate reusable items, and try composting your grass and leaf litter.
Spring Clean-Up Dates in Ada County:
Boise - First two weeks of April each year (4/2 - 4/13/2012)
Eagle - First week of May each year (5/7-5/11/2012)
Garden City - Third week of May each year (5/21-5/25/2012)
Star - First Week of May - regular service day (we are not there 5 days/week)
Spring Clean-Up Dates in Canyon County:
Caldwell - Fourth week of April each year (4/23 - 4/27/2012)
Middleton - Fourth week of April each year (4/23-4/27/2012)
Nampa - Fourth week of April each year (4/23-4/27/2012)
Spring Clean-Up Dates in Elmore County:
Mountain Home - First week of May each year (5/7-5/11/2012)
* Roll-off boxes at the Parks and Recreation office on Saturday (5/12/2012)
Accepted:
Tree branches/shrubs-cut & tied into 4' bundles, weighing less than 60 pounds
Grass clippings and yard debris in trash cans and Paper leaf Bags
Small household items
Large and small furniture items
Non-Freon appliances
Carpet/vinyl pieces-rolled into 4' lengths, weighing 60 pounds or less
Miscellaneous household debris in trash cans/trash carts
Not Accepted:
Hazardous waste (ok in Canyon County)
Freon Appliances (except in Boise)
Note:
Customers Must Call Allied Waste to Schedule a Large/Bulky Item Collection.
Items must be placed out for collection on the customers regular service day
Additional trash and bulky items are collected FREE of charge during this the scheduled spring clean-up week(s) only.
